Fall musings

I always start to think about Christmas when the summer begins to end and the fall creeps up on us. I love to make homemade gifts for Christmas and I'm going to try to do more this year. Do you make homemade gifts? What sorts of things do you make? This year I'd like very much to ask for a vintage soup tureen. Does anyone else start thinking about Christmas early? I'm sure I'm not the only one!

  1. I try not to thinking about Christmas until at least mid-Sept, but Costco seems to have other ideas. ;)

  2. Hi - I found your blog today and lost the blog I found you from. New home ownership and all the work that goes with it (ongoing, after 32 years we are still working on the same house). I am going to follow your journey and hope you take a peek at my blog. I mostly write about stuff I get ready to resell, write about (ok, take pictures) about others in the same antiques and collectibles mall, and occasionally write about how I actually did the work. I have discovered painting furniture and am having a great time. Haven't ruined much stuff yet.

  4. Hello Hope,

Thanks so much for visiting my blog recently!

I can completely relate to thinking about Christmas! I actually bought a large plastic Santa face at an antique shop last week. It's one of those that light up....so cute. I hope to put a big wreath around it, and hang it in my shed.

  6. Hi and thanks for looking at my blog! I just took a look at yours and will enjoy following your home renovations so I've signed up as a follower! About Christmas, I'm already thinking of it, too, as well as Fall, which in Florida won't come until the last of October and November! Dream on!
